Day 1 - CSS Grid Practice
Road to Becoming a Front End Web Developer
I have been studying CSS Grid for a few days now and I believe it’s finally starting to click. As a project I was able to design a “Mason Grid” site layout including a header.

I will probably complete this project with a few more details to the body and a footer by tomorrow morning and start moving onto a topic I am not too confident in, like media queries.
I have given myself two months to learn the basics of HTML and CSS and I feel by the end of this month I will be ready to move onto JavaScript!
Aside from today’s project I had a phenomenal networking experience. Surprisingly I was able to get 60+ likes and 30+ retweets on a tweet I made on Twitter last night. The tweet was pertaining to my GitHub profile and how I was able to learn markdown in order to style and create an attractive/professional profile about me section.

As always I left a link that lead to my code on GitHub for the template offering anyone the freedom of utilizing for their own profiles. It turns out I received 137 new GitHub profile visits and received a few private messages from others asking me questions about my layout. Helping these few people I was able to retain them as people who’s willing to stay in touch.

Overall today was a great day in my path to becoming a front end web developer. I felt I was able to get a lot of things done in terms of professional image, internet presence and skill training. I was even able to gain a senior developer’s recognition today who is a big lead in programming Twitter, he liked my tweet as well and now with all the support I am more motivated than ever!
Stay Tuned!...
